Dr. Dẽ Nita R. Square-Smith

Dr. Dẽ Nita was born and raised in the City of Brotherly Love; South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she learned to double Dutch, play jacks, enjoy hoagies, vendor pretzels, and support her hometown sports teams. Philly nurtured her love of reading, writing, and compassion for others. Educated in Philadelphia’s public-school system, raised by parents who encouraged her creativity and Christian faith, Dr. Dẽ Nita relies daily on her faith while honoring her late parents memory and legacy.

A woman of faith who advocates for self-care, mental health, social action, diversity, inclusion, justice, and equality, Dr. Dẽ Nita holds degrees from Norfolk State University (BS Accounting), Virginia Commonwealth University (MS Urban and Regional Planning with a Certification in Neighborhood Revitalization), and Walden University (PhD Public Policy and Administration Local Government Management for Sustainable Communities) in addition to being a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and an active member in her church. Dr. Dẽ Nita is known for her caring and compassionate heart who understands the importance of self-care and boundaries. As a certified life coach in several areas of self care, relationship building, emotional intelligence, art therapy, and grief, she further understands when you are in a season of painfully waiting for a storm to pass over and the weight of waiting becomes heavy, then the stronger your faith must be by remembering Joshua 1:9 and Isaiah 40:31.

After years of encouraging others with her “Simply Say It” personal greeting cards, hand poured natural soy candles, jewelry creations, writing her 1st book, “R.E.S.T.: Realizing Effective Spiritual Triumphs While Being Broken, Blessed, and Restored,” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=co5QiBw8U_Y ) and going through her own personal storms, she has decided to turn her pain into purpose by creating products and services that ushers others into a life full of love, laughter, self-care, and compassion even while going through. Her willingness to steward her gifts to help others is her faith in action.

Dr. Dẽ Nita offers the following interactive activity books for children and adults:
